RattanIndia Power Limited is one of India’s largest private power generation company, with installed capacity of 2,700 MW thermal power plants at Amravati and Nashik (1,350 MW at each location) in Maharashtra, India with investments of Rs. 18,615 crores (US $2.5 Billion). The power plants are spread over an area of 2,400 acres. The company counts marquee funds like Goldman Sachs and VardePartners, USA as investors in the business. The Group has created a world class power generation assets with its deep focus on execution using best in class equipment and technology.

Management Team

Mr. Brijesh Gupta,
Managing Director

Mr. Brijesh Gupta is an alumnus of Visvesarya Regional College of Engineering and has over three decades of experience in industrial sector having worked in top organizations in Renewable, Steel, Mining and Commodities sector in India and abroad. In his earlier stints Mr. Gupta has held leadership positions in Adani Enterprises, Essar Group, Welspun and Atha Group. Mr. Gupta has global experience having worked across geographies in USA, Middle East, Iran and the Indian-Subcontinent.

Mr. Ankur Mitra
Chief Finance Officer, RattanIndia Power Ltd

Mr Ankur Mitra, an Electrical Engineer with a PGP in management from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.He is a seasoned management professional with rich experience in power and infrastructure sector across business functions (Finance, Strategy, Risk Management and O&M). Over his career spanning across 20 years he has been associated with companies like NTPC Ltd, GMR Group, Gammon Infra, Dalmia Cements. Currently he is the CFO of RattanIndia Power Limited. Over the past two decades, he has had opportunity to work on diverse sub-segments within the power sector. Other than that he has also undertaken assignments in Airports and Logistics space as well.

Col. Lokesh Singh
Station Head, Nashik Power Plant

Col. Singh, an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla joined Rattan India in 2014 after a stellar career with the Indian Army holding various Command and Staff appointments. He was support Function Head at Amrawati till April 2021. He is now the Station Head, Nasik since April 2021. A voracious reader and he loves to travel and socialise. He has a keen interest in Global Politics, International Relations, Strategic Studies, Public Policy and Peace & Conflict studies.

Mr. Gitesh Ambasta
Station Head, Amravati Power Plant

Mr. Gitesh Ambasta is an Engineering graduate in Electronics/Industrial Electronics with around 27 years of diversified experience in project and maintenance of Thermal Power Plant. This includes C&I engineering, projects, maintenance at various positions and Head O&M. He Joined RattanIndia Power Ltd on 1st Nov, 2011.Prior to RPL , he was associated with Jindal Steel & Power and Jindal Power Ltd for around 15 years.

Mr. Rajiv Rattan

Mr. Rajiv Rattan was selected by Schlumberger for its international service business in 1994 where he worked for over 5 years and gained extensive experience in international best practices, process management and risk management. Further, he has also gained extensive experience in the Financial Services Sector and Power Sector and he has developed understanding of risk management, efficient processes and operational excellence.

Mrs. Pritika Poonia

Mrs. Pritika Poonia aged 39 years is serving as director of Steadfast Metal Products Private Limited and designated partner at Handover Greenbox LLP. Mrs. Pritika Poonia studied Electronics and Communication Engineering at Punjab university. In addition to that, she has completed her PGDM ebiz from Welingkar Institute of Management and Research. She has an extensive experience in engineering and management sector.

She held the position as founding member of Mitra, a voluntary humanitarian organization (PEC, Chandigarh). She also held the position as member of Red Cross and Junior Coordinator (North India), Indian Microelectronics Society.

Mr. Narayanasany Jeevagan

Mr. Narayanasany Jeevagan joined Canara Bank in September 1970 as a probationary officer and superannuated from there as a General Manager. During his 40 years of service in the Bank, he held various positions, including as in-charge of bank’s different regions/ Circle offices, where due to his motivational skills he ensured achievement of business targets by the branches, with active participation of all staff members. Being well versed in credit and risk Management, he headed bank’s Corporate Services Branch at Chennai, handling high value accounts. He was also posted as Managing Director of Canara Bank Venture Capital Ltd. He was deputed to United Bank of India for three years as GM-Vigilance after selection by Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Sharad Behal

Mr. Sharad Behal started his career journey as a Field Engineer with Schlumberger in the Year 1994 where he has had a fairly long stint spanning over several years, in diverse areas holding several high level key management positions including that of the Vice President Wire line Segment for Middle East & Asia and Vice President for Schlumberger Oil field Services for East Asia. Since 2011 he has been Global HR Manager for Completion Segment at Schlumberger.

Mr. Sanjiv Chhikara

Mr. Sanjiv Chhikara started his carrier with the Customs Department at Mumbai where he put in 20 years and was handling several facets of works of the customs department such as clearance of import and export cargo, adjudication of cases, project imports, Duty Exemption Scheme, Export Oriented units, Investigations and intelligence CESAT and settlement commission etc. In the year 2011 he took a voluntary retirement and is currently involved with high tech farming project with use of poly house technology near Delhi.

Rajiv Rattan
Chairman, RattanIndia Group

Mr. Rajiv Rattan, a first generation entrepreneur is the Chairman of RattanIndia Group. Mr. Rattan is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and started his professional career with Schlumberger, one of the largest oilfield Services Company in the world.

Prior to RattanIndia Group, he co-founded one of the largest conglomerate in India which included businesses in Consumer Finance (2nd largest mortgage lender in India), Securities (largest stock brokerage in India), Real Estate and Power Generation with a combined net worth of more than $ 5 billion. The businesses were restructured and Power and Infrastructure business were rechristened RattanIndia Group under the Chairmanship of Mr. Rajiv Rattan.
